KBioSystems K Series Colony Pickers (Glaxo Smithkline, GPC Biotech, Max Planck Institute, Agencourt, NIH Whitehead, Agencourt BioScience, CEASAR , EMBL + others) Machine Vision application for Genomic Research. Photographs randomly distributed bacteria colonies in growth plates. Scores them according to configurable criteria. Samples and transfers into mictrotite plates. Incorporates plate handling, barcode reading. Fluorescent tagged colonies optional (using UV lighting system). Rate exceeding 3000 colonies per hour.
KBioSystems Gel Corer (Centers for Disease Control, GlaxoSmithKline, Ludwig Institute, CornellUniversity) 1D and 2D Gel protein core extraction system. Photographs gels, user chooses cores. The corer then cuts the cores and tranfers to microtitre plates.

KBioSystems Duncan Thermal Cycler (around 40 installations, AstraZeneca, GSK, Incyte, SangerCenter, NIH Whitehead) Waterbath PCR process for Genomics. High throughput (up to 108 plates in 2hrs).
FDA 21CFR11 module for Biomedical Diagnostic Kit manufacture Specified and designed a LabVIEW module which implements full uncompromised 21CFR11 compliance.
FDA Software and Hardware compliance management Devised project management procedure to allow production of FDA validated Diagnostic Kit manufacturing machine.
Uses a camera to automatically locate stent features such as strut peaks and valleys. A CO2 laser cuts the covering according to user-settable parameters. Precision stepper motion system moves the stent under the camera and laser. System is controlled by a PC running application software written in Labview.
