I pride myself on quickly producing a bug free solution to the customer's problem. To do this I focus on simplicity.
My lean development method:
1. Choose the most important features for the first iteration 2. Deliver a working system 3. Get feedback from the customer 4. Choose the most important features for the next iteration 5. Go to step 2
This process allows quick delivery of solutions and creates a collaborative spirit with the customer. It also creates a closed loop learning cycle, where lessons learned can be applied after each iteration to demonstrate constant, tangible progress.
I have three decades of experience working on industrial automation, lab automation, web applications, embedded systems and databases.
I particularly enjoy collaborating with non programmers, eg scientists and engineers and business managers. A few of the organisations who have used my software:
Glaxo Smithkline GPC Biotech Max Planck Institute NIH Whitehead Agencourt BioScience KBioSystems CEASAR EMBL Centers for Disease Control Ludwig Institute Cornell University Incyte Sanger Institute Porvair Medical Research Council ThermoFischer Abgene
I am based in Phoenix Arizona.
Educated in Ireland, with a degree in Electronic Engineering.
